I have been called by a reporter for the local central Florida
channel 9 news today...... she happened to see my post in
ActiveRain© on the latest mortgage fraud happening in the
area and wanted to get more information.
HOWS THEM APPLES!!
This could help a LOT of us here in central Florida with getting
the news out that WE ARE NOT central Florida real estate professionals
that tolerate this kind of behavior happening to our clients.
If YOU (mortgage officer, mortgage broker, loan officer, real estate
agent, buyer, or seller) have information about a client (or if YOU
were the client who got into a bad situation because of a shady
situation you were tricked into) that was the victim of mortgage
fraud, please post a comment below about it and I will get in touch
with you. WE will bring the information to the reporter that is covering
this story and hopefully we will get some mention on TV and/or the
local newspaper.....
Goodwill advertising is NOT a bad thing,
letting our central Florida real estate buyers
and sellers know WE DO NOT tolerate this kind
of thing is GOOD for business.
This post about wanting to hear from people or
real estate professionals involved in a situation
of mortgage fraud was brought to you by:

Lets hear fro a BUNCH of you that care about
how our real estate clients are treated!!
=-)
Good post Alexander,
Several years ago I tried to report a fraudulent flipper in Volusia county only to find no one wanted to hear about it. I sent emails, made phone calls, no one responded. I even tried a national mortgage fraud hot line. I received no response.
I turned down the loans, informed the investor why, and after discussing the files (the borrower had 3 loans applications with us) with the loan officer I fired her.
About two weeks later a wholesale AE I know mentioned to me that the LO that recently left my office already had 3 great file approved with his company.
When I questioned him - guess what - the same borrower, same properties, same loan officer, new company, new investor.
I called their credit officer, gave her the run down, walked her through the files.
She thanked me but did not turn them in.
The flipper later got arrested.
Your right it serves no one to turn the other way when you see this type of activity.
What a great opportunity, Alexander. I had to rescue some of my mortgage clients from this stuff, but, alas, I'm on the left coast so that's not relevant.
I know you'll represent your community well. Great job.
