I had seen in the yahoo and google news that
firefox 3.0 was coming out and I wanted to
see if it was going to live up to what the press
was saying.

I am STILL learning all the features it has.....
WHEW!!

And it is almost 2 times faster loading webpages
than IE7 (INCLUDING ActiveRain!).

From what I have heard there are over 300
plug ins to the program that can customize it
to my liking.

 

Now all I have to do is find a Firefox group in
ActiveRain and I will be set!!

The news has said that over 8 million copies
of the browser were downloaded in the first
24 hours of its availability. At one time during
the frenzy there were over 14,000 copies being
downloaded per MINUTE! This has Firefox set to
attain the goal of a 20% market share, according
to its CEO.

As some of you might know, back almost 2 years ago, my
Ford Tempo gave up the ghost after bringing
me through many nightmares because of its crappy
running and the many things that were wrong with
it. Here is one post I made about that car, way back then.

On the way home and had a tough day...
but I did not give up....

Anyway, I bought a NICE 1988 Oldsmobile
Cutlass Ciera with the money gained from
an accident which sped along the demise
of my Ford -- Thank goodness!

Here are the posts I submitted to ActiveRain© about that as these things happened:

Each one is progressively farther into what happened AS it happened.

• Funny thing happened on the way back home today....
• The accident saga continues.....I am blessed!!
• My NEW car after the accident.......GOD is so GOOD!

 

We now come to yesterday...when my "new" car would NOT start,
after I was done at work for the night. Try as I might...the cars
starter would turn and turn the engine...but the engine would
not fire up and run!

I got a manager at the restuarant I work
at part time to give me a jump and the car
just turned over like a new baby.

Not 1 minute after the jumper cables were unhooked, did the car coagh twice and die. I then went into the restaurant to pray about this. Thank goodness I work at a 24 hour restuarant, or this would have been ONE cold, dark night for me.

You see, I work the dinner shift and sometimes I do not get home until past 12AM.

I told the Lord that if He would cause the car to start up again (and run), I would take it home and look at what is going on in it in the morning. I do NOT have AAA or towing coverage on my car.

So, after having dinner and calming down because I
put the whole issue in Gods hands, I went out to the
car in the parking lot, fully expecting it to start and RUN.

As I walked to the car, a picture impressed
itself on my mind...a camel, drinking from
a trough (I am half Lebanese) in the middle of an oasis. Now, mind you,
this was NOT a weird idea.... BUT to have a camel drink at a drinking trough in an oasis, is WEIRD in and of itself.

You would think the animal would be drinking from the oasis itself...not from a drinking trough. So, I asked the Lord....

What does this vision mean?

 

He told me,"If you drink from my river and not of the worlds waters, you will be blessed.

A gentle rebuke AND a reminder as well.

So, as I walked to the car, I took a great big drink of HIS SPIRIT and I felt power come into me. I just KNEW now that the car would start.... BUT there is more...

 

The Lord said to me..."The CAR is thirsty too!!"

 

I told Him,"I had just filled it with gas...it can't be thirsty."

 

He said..."There are other parts of the car that need water...
special water too, like I AM to YOU!!"

 

It just so happens I have distilled water at home
to iron my clothes. Car Batteries NEED distilled
water from time to time...especially in our HOT
Florida climate.

So...... hehehe..... I walked to the car, got in,
turned the key and the car STARTED right up!!!

I drove home..... with NO problems.

I put the car in the garage as soon as I could, so 
I could take a good look at it, BUT I ALREADY knew
what was needed, because the Lord told me what was
wrong.

I opened up the battery covers and... BEHOLD..... every
one of the cells was just a LITTLE low!!! I filled them up
and WOOHOO!!! The car now starts within a couple of
seconds of turning the key!

 

HOW COOL IS THAT!!

• The central Florida real estate market is going to come down gently and the bounce right back.
• The three County central Florida statistics for
  February, March and April of 2008 show life in the market coming back.
• May 2008 shows the SAME trend as the three previous months!

 

 

 

Here is MORE hard data showing the above statements to be true!

• The Orlando Regional Realtor® Association
  reports a steady, yet modest "month-to-month
  increase in the number of home sales, an increase
  in the number of contracts pending, and a decrease
  in the amount of inventory. "
• As a result of the increasing demand, median sales
  prices "of a home in the Orlando area in May rose to
  $214,000, a 1.42 percent increase over the April 2008
  median of $211,000. "

• Also inching upward, "the area's average interest rate
  was 5.94 percent in May 2008, up from 5.77 percent
  in April."
