Chicago and Southern Illinois Real Estate Happenings

Due to the great advice of the Active Rain membership, I gave away a client to another Keller Williams agent that was in the area the clients property was located in. I was given a referral from an agent in Miami to help a owner sell 2 vacant lots in Palm Bay which is about 60 miles from me.

After getting information from the local Keller Williams office in Palm Bay, the Team Leader sent me information about another agent in her office who would be calling me. Later that day i got a call and gave the information he needed to service this client effectively.

I didn't make any money from this transaction, BUT I have a LOT of goodwill from my fellow Keller Williams agents and that means a LOT to me.

Top notch morals and spotless ethics pay you back....ALWAYS...... ;-D

To me success is having the time AND money to enjoy my life with my wife, family and friends.....and fulfill my destiny in life.

For some, success is a whole LOT of money and the things that go with it.....

For some, success is a WHOLE lots of things...not money itself.....

For some, success is all the power and social standing that the obove (money, things) can afford you.....

I feel sorry for those who are trapped loving money and things.............love people...............things cannot love you back....

Hello there, 

Ever look around in your office and see those "Mega Agents" just talking on the phone to a client, writing up a contract, talking to a vendor (inspector, title officer, loan officer, etc.) or hunched over their desk just "doing a LOT of stuff"?

Do you get nervous and think you will never get as busy as they appear to be?

Do you think,"Gee...I think I'll make some coffee and bring them some, maybe their talent will rub off on me."

Do you wonder what it is that is making them so successful?

I have found that agents that are successful are focused, driven, motivated, and they have self discipline.

Nice words to read, but how do you get those words into action?

1st) Is your car, house, boat, life insurance, car insurance, etc. all paid off/up? If not ~~~~ NOW you have motivation because you have several reasons to succeed.

2nd) If something isn't done to close your deal(s), or you need to make deals happen so you can achieve #1 above (paying for all those things) you NEED to make it happen ~~~ NOW you are driven.......hehehehe

3rd) If there are distractions at your home office (IE:baby crying, TV, phone calls from friends not related to a deal, that ice cream I talked about in one of my other blogs) GET AWAY from them and STAY away till something GOOD happens in your business ~~~ NOW you are focused.......

4th) Continue to practice those habits above EVERY day, and soon enough, you will be successful in real estate ~~~ YOU will be self-disciplined........TADA.......hehehehe

Record numbers of apartments are being converted into condos at a continuingly astonishing rate....Many people are being displaced from these conversions because they either do not have the finances or they do not have the credit to qualify for a loan.

Meanwhile these condo conversions sit un-bought because of the the above conditions. Some conversions were nicely done and timed very well. Those conversions are totally full and sold out. others, with investors thinking to get rich quickly, have done terribly because of shoddy workmanship by contractors, prices which are way too high for the condition, square footage, number condition and type of appliances offered and number amenities offered.

How many in the central Florida are have seen some of these "Condo conversions" which should not have been done?

I got a call from Nima Rezvan today thanking me for guiding him on a company decision he was making in regards to marketing and leads.

It is that kind of phone call I love to receieve when I am doing my job the way I am supposed to..... Being a real estate agent does NOT mean I am all about the money...... being a service to my fellow human being is a pleasure to me.... it makes me smile inside....

And YES, Nima...I will be sending prospective clients your way......hehehehehe
